Our First Week

Good morning Springfield!

I hope this message finds you well. The last week has been a whirlwind of activity for the campaign.

Last Tuesday, I formally announced my campaign to friends, family, and the community, to significant praise. I am overwhelmed by the support provided to us thus far, in both words, as well as those stepping up to volunteer and donate. THANK YOU!

On Friday, I picked up my nomination papers at City Hall to have my name printed on the primary ballot on Tuesday, September 14th. I require 100 certified signatures of registered voters in Springfield, but I am aiming for 150. Please use the Contact link if you would like to sign my nomination forms. I also had the chance to speak with city officials who gave me honest feedback on my what it will take for me to earn a seat on the city council. It was an exhilarating experience to feel history all around me.

On Saturday and Sunday, I safely canvassed the entire city collecting signatures. Winning an election requires that you out work and out hustle your fellow office seekers, so a 12 hour day in the rain was exactly what I had in mind. Thank you for all who were able to sign, and I look forward to connecting with more of you this weekend.

The week ahead brings more strategy sessions with supporters and elected officials that will help me refine my message, focusing on the issues that matter to Springfield voters the most. I am also excited that we will be hosting a Virtual Campaign Kickoff on Thursday, March 4th at 7 PM. I am looking forward to connecting with you all via Zoom! Thank you all for your support!
